Nike

Nike, by Haddad Brands

Haddad Brands holds the exclusive license for Nike children's apparel, meaning every Nike item worn by a child is crafted by Haddad Brands as nike outsources childrenswear design and development. The licensing extends beyond Nike to include the umbrella of companies under Nike's ownership, such as Hurley, Converse, and Jordan.

In my initial year, I contributed to the Design Operations team, implementing seasonal systems encompassing color palettes, look book creation, budgeting, and sample approvals. Subsequently, I was elevated to a unique role, Graphic Product Developer, crafted specifically for me. Collaborating with my Senior Graphics Manager as a two person team, I designed technical systems, templates, and actions using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. These resources empowered our graphic design team to adhere to best practices for large-scale production across diverse printing devices. I played a key role in the creation of graphics, particularly for all-over prints and repeat patterns, and provided design support to the packaging department for our hosiery division.

Engaging in monthly travels with my manager to factories and trade shows, we conducted research on innovative printing processes and treatment applications, implementing these findings in our factories. This dynamic and self-starting role seamlessly blended graphic artistry, research and development, and the implementation of technical systems, ensuring our designs aligned with Nike's compliance standards.

Applications used: Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign.
