Snapchat, ‘Larger than Life’ mural series

Williamsburg, Brooklyn

My design was selected for Snapchat’s larger-than-life mural series in the now-hipster hotspot of New York, Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Snapchat conducted an open-ended design sprint, inviting the public to create neighborhood-specific illustrations that best represent certain areas around New York City and Boston. My design was chosen to represent my home base, Williamsburg!

Before Williamsburg adopted an Apple Store and an Equinox, the neighborhood pulsed with an abundance of attitude and charisma. A rite of passage for any Willysburger was the daily stroll toward the waterfront to savor the renowned Manhattan skyline. One could gaze upward and witness a cascade of shoes tied to telephone wires, whimsically guiding the way.

Every time I think of Williamsburg, that memory is elevated on a pedestal (and a billboard!).
